What Is Storybook Hut?
A unique collection of new and classic children’s books read aloud in video format for you and the little treasures in your life.
As a Christian wife, teacher, author, and mentor, I cherish the innocence of children and the responsibility we have as adults to lead, guide, and protect them as they develop into the wonderful people God designed them to be.
The Blessing Of Books
I’ve been in love with books and reading for as long as I can remember. A good book has so much potential. It can teach, comfort, inspire, heal, relax, humor, and educate - to name just a few of the possibilites.
At the same time, we are finding more and more books that are written for children with an agenda to introduce them to topics that are less than wholesome and often extremely damaging to their hearts and minds.
Children Are Precious And Should Be Protected And Nurtured
At Storybook Hut, I evaluate the content of each book I record and include in this library based on a specific criteria. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a “Christian” book, though I do include as many good Christian children books as I can find, but it does need to be a book that I would be happy to read to my child with Jesus sitting next to me.
While I encourage young imaginations to explore the world of make believe and flights of fancy, I avoid books that include witchcraft, sorcery, or other forms of spiritual darkness, even when it is not presented in a ‘dark’ way.
Because I also believe in moral absolutes, I do not include any books that promote modern lifestyles that are outside traditional Christian values based on Biblical principles.
The ever growing collection of video books include both Christian and secular literature that promote family values and strong character building qualities.
Some books are silly, while others are serious. Some books will make you laugh, while others will make you think. But all of the books in this collection are chosen to bring a positive benefit to the hearts and minds of the readers and listeners.
My goal is to provide children, parents, grandparents, and teachers with a thoroughly vetted collection of kids books that they can safely use without worrying about random content that might expose their family or students to themes that are inappropriate for their young minds to absorb.
While I do my best, please remember that I am not perfect. If you find anything in my content that offends or falls short of my established guidelines, please feel free to kindly let me know so that I can re-evaluate and make updates or changes when needed.
